Radio Celesete: Purple Maroon Showcase – Jan 2026

I teamed up with my friend and the Purple Maroon store owner, Jospehine, to run a month-long showcase of my group’s existing lanterns in Noe Valley, SF. Our hope is to create a beautiful shopping space and to inspire people to order custom lanterns for their homes and offices.

Radio Aurelia – Nov 2025

A family of geometric lantern sculptures I designed and fabricated along with Josh and Fonda as a functional artwork in downtown Jackson, TN. The design themes include musical instruments, locally grown crops, and Jackson’s night sky.

Namaskaram – Sep 2025

A sculpture inspired by the culture I grew up in, capturing an essential part of Indian daily life: bowing with folded hands while with eyes closed, sharing trust and intentions. It is built using steel, polystyrene foam, epoxy-based fiberglass, and plywood.

Solar Flair – Feb 2025

This is a public art installation for Sunnyvale, CA. This painted sun sculpture features 150 programmable LED pixels arranged in a Fibonacci spiral inspired by sunflower patterns.

My key contribution is the integration of two-way mirrors at the sun’s center, creating a dynamic interplay between the viewer’s reflection and the radiating light display.

Lantern Making Workshop – Nov 2024

A workshop for Los Altos High School’s product design and fabrication students for Fall 2024.

I guided students in designing, fabricating, and constructing geometric lanterns inspired by the Platonic Solids using laser-cut wood and 3D-printed parts.

Two Interlace towers visited this music festival in Monterey, CA, and became instant crowd favorites.

The flamingo, this time in yellow, made its presence known yet again to the festival crowds of Long Beach, CA. It instantly became a landmark on the festival grounds, attracting many selfies and group photos with it towering in the background.

My roles included operating heavy machinery, project management, and refurbishing artwork.

Radio Lumia: JCC Annual – Mar 2024

A series of lanterns originally designed for Palo Alto JCC’s 2024 annual fundraiser event.

My roles on the project included designing a couple of lantern concepts, manufacturing them with a laser cutter and CNC router, project management, and lighting design.

Rainbow Torch – SF Pride 2023

This torch was designed to be an inaugural beacon of light for pride celebrations at the SF Ferry Building.

My roles involved lighting and electronics design for the torch.

Hearts in SF: Windows into Art – Jan 2023

This heart is a collection of iconic Victorian homes in San Francisco, in which all windows light up to sequences my team designed. The lighting is scripted to feel like an organically changing cityscape.

My role in the project involved lighting design and laser cutter manufacturing.

Arbor Lights – Oct 2022

A semi-permanent light art installation along the waterfront outside of Chicago’s iconic Navy Pier, consisting of hundreds of custom-fabricated LED maple leaves arranged amidst a tree canopy.

My roles involved lighting design for the leaves and overall electronics layout design.

Sirsasana – Sep 2022

A 30-foot-tall tree sculpture, poised in a headstand, was brought to life at Burning Man. Designed for a fleeting existence, it offered shade to passersby and inspired climbers before being ceremoniously burned.

As lead artist, I spearheaded the artistic vision for this project, collaborating with a team to bring it to life from design and fabrication to installation and its final burn.
